“Do you agree?”
A question I get alot from Arabic friends is concerning the Iraq war. I can answer in one short sentence: “It was a mistake to come and now we cannot just up and leave.”
This invasion has caused so much trouble in Iraq and unbalanced everything there. A complete military pullout by all foreign armies would lead to an escalation in violence that will one day even itself out. How many would die? Who would rise to power? Do you really want to find out? I for one do not. I have family there, and I think they are safer now with some form of law then if the military pulled out and and anarchy ensued.
