Colleges With Biology Majors in Kuwait?
There has to be some college with some sort of curriculum with a medical type of focus around here. Any suggestions for colleges with some sort of medical/biology major, besides KU (if it even has one)? Looking for a college Lana can get into. Prices and locations doesn’t matter, as long as it is in Kuwait.
Women’s college is her preference, but a mixed environment is fine (classes are still segregated for the most part right?) if it has the major.
Suggestions would be appreciated. She really wants to get back into college and I want her to finish her education. Education is always important.

Wish I can help you buddy but I’m doing my college work in America right now. I am a biology major as well (Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology to be specific).
May I ask what field of biology she is interested in? I might have some words of wisdom for her
The field of Genetic Biology is hot these days, if she enjoyed studying the heredity theory of Mandel or doing family pedigrees.
ku: 1) medicine
2) allied health: phsical therapy, radiology (these are only the ones i know, i’m sure there are others)
3) science, department of biological sciences: zoology, botany, microbiology, molecular biology and biochemistry
4) women: communication disorders (speech-language pathology), nutrition and food science
american univeristy of the middle east is opening its doors this fall. the programs for 2008/2009 will only be from the college of business; but between 2009-2012 they will launch the medical programs (medicine, nursing, speech language pathology, nutrition etc)

@Angelo: Not sure which portion. She said she wanted to do lab work and blood tests, but that doesn’t exactly narrow it down any. Will have to talk to her about it and see what she says.
@Dandoon: I know KU does, but isnt Kuwait University pretty much for Kuwaitis and children of Kuwaiti women? Maybe it’s just bad press or the rumor mill. I will check on the AUM though and see what they have to offer, at least get info on their site. Thanks!
