Observation: Learning Arabic
Please don’t try to learn to SPEAK arabic solely from a book!! I know I’m not perfect, and yes, my arabic needs tons of work, but when your job involves interacting in the Arabic language, get a real class or an audio self-paced class.
Another suggestion, learn the letters, then the sounds, then learn to speak. Much easier in this order. (if you want to learn to read and speak, if just speaking, surround yourself with it)
This rant brought about by the substandard Arabic courses given or undertaken by many men and women in the (US) government.
