Executive Privelege Invoked to Shield Cheney

Quite frankly, this is total crap.  The president and his VP should not be immune to legal preceedings because they don’t want their dirty laundry aired out.  I mean he already commuted the sentence of Scooter Libby regarding a scandal… 

For anyone who doesn’t know, this is regarding who leaked the name of an FBI agent and endangered the lives of her and her family.  The husband of Valerie Plame had questioned the information we used to serve as cause to invade Iraq, and all of a sudden it is public knowledge that she is an FBI agent.  He questioned a claim made by Bush at the 2003 State-of-the-Union address regarding Iraq buying uranium from Africa, even though this claim had been investigated and disputed in 2002!

Read for yourself…  this is absurd.

July 16 (Bloomberg) — President George W. Bush invoked executive privilege to avoid turning over records of an FBI interview of Vice President Dick Cheney and other documents subpoenaed by Congress in the CIA leak investigation.
