Does the Kindle Work in Kuwait?

Has anyone seen a working Kindle in Kuwait, as in dowloading everything over the air and all that good jazz?  The choices of magazines and books here kinda suck, and I was thinking of getting the Kindle to read the books I purchase.  I tend to get my books from Amazon anyway.  Magazine subscriptions rock [...]
